The rules are simple.

By accessing sharoncraft.co.ke or placing an order with us you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree please do not use our website or services.

These terms apply to all visitors, customers and anyone who accesses or uses SharonCraft in any way.

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of SharonCraft after changes means you accept the updated terms.

SharonCraft is a Nairobi-based handmade jewelry and accessories brand founded by Kelvin Mark in 2024.

All products are made by skilled Kenyan artisans including our Lead Designer Sharon Ruth. We are committed to authentic Kenyan craftsmanship and fair artisan compensation.

Business information

We make every effort to display our products accurately. However please note:

• Photos show the product as accurately as possible but colors may vary slightly on different screens
• Handmade products may have minor natural variations. No two pieces are exactly the same and that is part of their beauty
• All dimensions are approximate and may vary by up to 5%
• Materials are as listed but natural variations in beads, thread and other materials occur
• Product availability can change without notice

Product descriptions

We work hard to ensure all product descriptions, pricing and availability information is accurate. If we discover an error we will notify you before processing your order and give you the option to proceed or cancel.

How ordering works

An order is placed when you submit it through our website or via WhatsApp. An order is confirmed when Sharon sends you a WhatsApp confirmation message. The confirmation message creates a binding agreement between you and SharonCraft.

Payment terms

All prices are in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes.

Pricing

Prices can change without notice before an order is confirmed. Once Sharon confirms your order the price is fixed. We will never increase a price on a confirmed order.

Payment security

We process M-Pesa payments directly through Safaricom. We do not store your M-Pesa PIN, ID number or full financial details. See our Privacy Policy for more information on how we handle payment data.

We take care to pack and deliver every order safely. Here is what you can expect:

Important delivery notes

• Delivery times are estimates from the date of dispatch not from the date of order
• Made-to-order items add production time before dispatch, typically 1-7 business days
• We will send you WhatsApp updates at each stage
• Our rider will call before arriving at your location
• If you miss a delivery we will reschedule at no extra charge

Risk and ownership

Risk of loss passes to you when the order is delivered to your address. Ownership transfers to you when full payment is received.

We want you to love every piece you buy from us. If something is not right we will make it right.

How to return

Message Sharon on WhatsApp within 30 days of receiving your order. Include:

• Your order number, for example SC-202605-0001
• Photos of the issue
• Brief description of the problem

We respond within 24 hours. Collection from your location within Nairobi is free.

Refund timeline

Custom orders are pieces made specifically for you based on your requirements. Additional terms apply:

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin production
• Once production has begun the deposit cannot be refunded unless we are unable to complete the order
• We will send progress photos before dispatch for your approval
• Minor variations from the design brief may occur due to the handmade nature of the work
• Custom orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun
• The balance is paid on delivery or collection

Wholesale custom orders

For corporate or bulk custom orders of 10 or more pieces separate terms may apply. Contact us via WhatsApp or our wholesale page to discuss.

All content on sharoncraft.co.ke including product photos, logo and brand marks, website design and layout, product descriptions, written content, blog articles and journal content is owned by SharonCraft and protected by Kenyan and international copyright law.

What you can do

• Share links to our website
• Share our content on social media with credit to @sharoncraft.ke
• Screenshot product photos for personal reference

What you cannot do

• Use our photos to sell your own products
• Copy our product descriptions
• Reproduce our logo or brand marks
• Create derivative works from our content without permission

Artisan designs

The designs of our artisans including Sharon Ruth's beadwork patterns are the creative property of the individual artisans and SharonCraft. Reproducing these designs without permission constitutes infringement.

You may create an account on SharonCraft to save your order history and preferences.

Your responsibilities

• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Do not share your account with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your contact details up to date

Our right to suspend

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Provide false or misleading information
• Place fraudulent orders
• Engage in abusive behavior toward our team
• Violate any part of these terms

We will notify you before taking action where possible.

When using SharonCraft you agree not to:

• Place fraudulent or fictitious orders with no intention to pay
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use our website to distribute spam, malware or harmful content
• Attempt to hack, scrape or reverse-engineer our website
• Use our platform for money laundering or illegal transactions
• Harass, threaten or abuse our staff or other customers
• Post false or defamatory reviews
• Resell our products without explicit written permission

We want to be clear about our responsibility to you and yours to us.

Our commitment

SharonCraft commits to:

• Deliver the products you ordered or provide a full refund
• Handle your personal data responsibly and securely
• Respond to your enquiries within a reasonable time
• Be honest about our products, pricing and capabilities

Our limitations

To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law SharonCraft is not liable for:

• Losses beyond the value of your order
• Delays caused by circumstances outside our control such as extreme weather or road closures
• Damage caused by your misuse of the product after delivery
• Third party website content or services we link to

Force majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations if prevented by circumstances beyond our reasonable control including natural disasters, government action, pandemic or major infrastructure failure.

In such cases we will contact you as soon as possible and offer either a delayed delivery or a full refund.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of SharonCraft will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.

Dispute resolution

We prefer to resolve any dispute directly and informally first. If you have a complaint:

1. Contact us on WhatsApp directly with your concern
2. We will respond within 24-48 hours
3. If not resolved we will escalate internally to Kelvin Mark personally
4. If still unresolved we will suggest mediation before formal legal proceedings

We genuinely want to resolve any issue fairly. Most concerns are resolved at step one.
